CLEC12A

CLEC12A is a crucial cell surface receptor belonging to the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain superfamily. Possessing specific structural characteristics, it effectively binds and interacts with other molecules. Functionally, CLEC12A is involved in various biological processes such as cell adhesion, signal transduction, glycoprotein turnover, and immune and inflammatory responses. It also serves as a negative regulator of granulocyte and monocyte function, participating in the balanced regulation of the immune system. In terms of signaling pathways, CLEC12A can promote the activity of target MAP kinase proteases, triggering intracellular signaling transduction events that affect cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Furthermore, it is closely related to other CTL/CTLD superfamily members, potentially collaborating in complex biological processes and signaling networks. However, the specific mechanism of CLEC12A in signaling pathways remains to be further investigated.
