MELTF

The MELTF gene encodes a protein called Meiosis - specific with coiled - coil domain and FHA domain - containing protein. There are currently no well - known common aliases. The protein is mainly involved in meiosis, contributing to the normal pairing and recombination of homologous chromosomes. It interacts with other proteins in the meiotic process, ensuring the accurate segregation of chromosomes.
MELTF is associated with the meiosis - related signal pathway. Disruptions in MELTF can lead to meiotic defects, which may cause infertility in both males and females. As of now, there is limited progress in drug development specifically targeting MELTF. However, further research in this area could potentially open new avenues for treating related reproductive diseases.
