VEGFB

VEGFB, or Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor B, is a protein closely related to angiogenesis. Common aliases include VEGF-related protein (VRP). Its mechanism involves binding to VEGF receptor 1 (VEGFR-1), which regulates endothelial cell survival and migration. It is mainly involved in the VEGF signaling pathway.
VEGFB has been implicated in various diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and certain types of cancers. In drug development, research is exploring the potential of targeting VEGFB to treat these diseases, aiming to regulate angiogenesis and improve patient outcomes. However, more studies are needed to fully understand its therapeutic potential.
