YWHAG

YWHAG encodes the 14-3-3 gamma protein, also commonly known as 14-3-3G and YWHAG. This protein functions as an adapter protein involved in signal transduction and cell cycle regulation. It interacts with a wide range of target proteins through phosphorylated serine and threonine residues, modulating their activity and subcellular localization. The 14-3-3 gamma is involved in the MAPK and PI3K/Akt signaling pathways.
Alterations in YWHAG are associated with various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. Given its crucial role in multiple pathways, it has emerged as a potential drug target. Some research is exploring small - molecule inhibitors, but as of now, no drugs targeting 14 - 3 - 3 gamma have reached the market.

IHC image of CSB-RA824302A0HU diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human endometrial cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT.
