Description
IL-15 is a pleiotropic cytokine central to NK cell development, CD8⁺ T cell homeostasis, and innate lymphoid cell activation, making high-potency recombinant forms essential for dissecting these pathways. This tag-free recombinant human IL-15, encompassing the full mature sequence (residues 49–162), demonstrates an ED₅₀ below 0.5 ng/mL in CTLL-2 proliferation assays—corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 2.0 × 10⁶ IU/mg—which supports use in T cell and NK cell proliferation assays, JAK/STAT signaling studies, and as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts, providing a suitable basis for sensitive immune cell functional assays, including PBMC activation and differentiation experiments as well as in vivo tumor biology or infection models.
