Description
IL4R-alpha serves as the primary ligand-binding chain for both IL-4 and IL-13 signaling complexes, making its extracellular domain a critical tool for dissecting type I and type II receptor biology. This recombinant construct spans residues 26–232 of the extracellular domain, expressed in mammalian cells to preserve native glycosylation and disulfide-mediated folding essential for high-affinity ligand engagement. Functional validation confirms an ED50 of 5–20 ng/mL in inhibiting IL-4-dependent TF-1 cell proliferation, directly supporting use in competitive inhibition assays, blocking antibody screening, and therapeutic antibody epitope mapping.
