5-10 business days
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Description
Interleukin-5 is a central regulator of eosinophil differentiation, activation, and survival, making it a critical target in studies of allergic inflammation and type 2 immune responses. This tag-free recombinant mouse IL-5, encompassing the full mature sequence (residues 21–133), demonstrates strong signaling potency with an ED50 below 2 ng/ml in TF-1 cell proliferation assays, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 5.0 × 10⁵ IU/mg — a level that supports use in JAK/STAT signaling pathway dissection, eosinophil differentiation studies, and as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize the risk of LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell functional assays, while purity exceeding 98% by SDS-PAGE provides a suitable basis for in vivo murine models of airway inflammation and for antibody development workflows including immunization, ELISA coating, and positive control applications.
