Description
CD44 mediates hyaluronan-dependent cell adhesion and migration, making it a critical target in tumor metastasis and immune cell trafficking research. This recombinant human CD44 construct spans residues 21–220, encompassing the hyaluronan-binding link domain, and is expressed in mammalian cells to preserve native glycosylation and proper folding essential for ligand recognition. Functional ELISA confirms robust binding activity, with an EC50 of 2.865–5.099 ng/ml against an immobilized anti-CD44 monoclonal antibody, supporting use in antibody development and validation, cell adhesion and spreading assays, and cell migration and invasion studies. The C-terminal mFc-Avi tag enables site-specific biotinylation for oriented immobilization on streptavidin surfaces, while purity exceeding 90% and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfy the criteria typical for cell-based functional assays investigating integrin-ligand or selectin-ligand binding interactions.
