Description
IL-15 receptor alpha plays a central role in trans-presentation of IL-15 to effector lymphocytes, making it a critical node in NK cell and CD8+ T cell homeostasis. This mammalian-expressed construct spanning residues 31–205 captures the complete sushi domain responsible for high-affinity IL-15 binding, and functional ELISA validation demonstrates specific interaction with human IL-15 at an EC50 of 32.53–38.41 ng/mL, providing quantitative evidence of preserved ligand recognition. The confirmed binding activity supports use in competitive inhibition assays for therapeutic antibody screening, receptor-ligand interaction studies by surface plasmon resonance or biolayer interferometry, and epitope mapping of biologics targeting the IL-15/IL-15RA axis. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg and purity exceeding 95% meet the quality thresholds commonly required for cell-based assays and in vitro pharmacology studies where contamination could confound immune cell responses.
