Description
ZIP6 (SLC39A6) plays a critical role in cellular zinc homeostasis and has been implicated in estrogen-responsive signaling pathways, making it a key target for studying metal ion transport mechanisms and epithelial-mesenchymal transition. This recombinant human SLC39A6 partial construct, spanning residues 29–325 with a C-terminal 6xHis tag, is expressed in a baculovirus system that supports the post-translational processing important for maintaining conformational integrity of membrane transporter ectodomains. Functional ELISA validation demonstrates robust binding to an anti-SLC39A6 recombinant antibody with an EC50 of 0.69–0.90 ng/mL, confirming native-like folding and providing a suitable basis for antibody development, ELISA standardization, and ligand-binding or drug-protein interaction assays. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for structural and biophysical characterization as well as membrane transporter functional studies.
