(Tris-Glycine gel) Discontinuous SDS-PAGE (reduced) with 5% enrichment gel and 15% separation gel.
Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized CD48 at 2 μg/ml can bind Anti-CD48 rabbit monoclonal antibody, the EC50 of human CD48 protein is 0.5806-0.8463 ng/ml.
CD48, a SLAM family member (SLAMF2) that engages 2B4 (CD244) and CD2 to modulate NK cell and T cell cytotoxicity, plays a critical role in immune surveillance relevant to immuno-oncology research. This recombinant human CD48 covers the full-length mature extracellular domain (aa 27–220) with a C-terminal hFc1 tag, and its mammalian cell expression supports native-like glycosylation and conformational integrity essential for faithful receptor-ligand interaction studies. Functional ELISA validation demonstrates robust binding to an anti-CD48 rabbit monoclonal antibody with an EC50 of 0.58–0.85 ng/ml, providing a reliable positive control and supporting applications such as therapeutic antibody epitope mapping, blocking antibody screening, and affinity characterization by SPR or BLI. Purity exceeding 90% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for cell-based immune checkpoint assays and small-molecule or biologic inhibitor screening in drug discovery workflows.
