Description
Basigin (CD147) drives tumor invasion and metastasis through its roles in matrix metalloproteinase induction and integrin-mediated adhesion, making it a critical target in cancer biology. This recombinant human BSG construct spans residues 22–205 of Isoform 2, covering the key extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, and carries a C-terminal hFc1 tag that facilitates use in integrin-ligand binding studies, cell migration and invasion assays, and antibody development workflows. Functional ELISA confirms robust binding activity, with immobilized CD147 at 2 μg/ml engaging an anti-CD147 recombinant antibody at an EC50 of 21.95–33.12 ng/ml, providing a reliable basis for cell adhesion and spreading assays as well as tumor metastasis research. Mammalian cell expression preserves native glycosylation and folding essential for physiologically relevant protein–protein interactions, while purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfy the criteria typically required for sensitive cell-based functional assays.
